Lara Parker

Lara works in Client Services and brings deep experience supporting people through complex life situations. With a background in social work, psychology and over 12 years at Centrelink, she joined Intend after being approached for her expertise in the Centrelink system – and is enjoying putting that knowledge to good use.

A proud career highlight for Lara is her work with high-needs clients, including people experiencing domestic violence, mental health issues, homelessness, or seeking asylum. She values the opportunity to have helped people through some of the hardest periods of their lives.

Outside of work, Lara enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter. Her week revolves around Gymbaroo, swimming lessons, and plenty of time outdoors at the park. Her guiding belief: “You never know what someone is going through – be kind.”
